In Rebma, rumors are circulating that with the aid of a team headed by a member of House Morfilod the hostages have been rescued from the Dragon Queen. It is rumored that The Ghost City was also released from the clutches of a necromantic cult, and the kidnapped Rebmans will be coming home soon. No officials are saying anything about the status of the hostages or where they presently are. The children of Rebma still remain safe in the Palace for now. The High Physician, an Ygrayne, took a few members of his crew to go look to the welfare of the hostages. People are starting to wonder if the threat is gone now and have resumed moving about in the city. Many would like to take their children home. The High Priestess of Lir, Dryssana Morfilod assured all that the Regent will surely allow the children to return home when it is safe. She also stated that Rebma should pray to Lir to give Martin guidance and strength during this difficult time. Morfilod is deeply proud that one of their own was involved in such a daring event. She also encourages that thanks be given to all who were involved as Lir saw fit to ensure their mission a success.

Title: Rogue Algae Swarm in Rebma

There was a hint of something coming, in dread nights past but the warnings were shaken away and people enthusiastically assured themselves that everything was OK. Then, the tide brought in a strange substance. It came in overnight with a rogue current of warm waters from the deeps, carried more swiftly by the tide. When Rebmans wrapped up in their nets to sleep, all was normal, but when they woke it was to find a literal shadow cast by massive colonies of blood red algae that have blanketed parts of Rebma - realm and city alike. These colonies can be found creeping their way up from the sea bed to the surface. Questions have authorities clamoring about. Strong magic has been used to protect the renovated buildings and the palace but that won't last forever. The algae still threatens to spread causing a small amount of panic. The algae looks like giant globs of glossy congealed blood, keeping things in uneven and shifting patches of shadow and light and smells like iron, some say and feels like the cold of the deepest waters but everyone has a different story. Most people are avoiding being caught up in the goop and staying indoors. Some buildings affected by the algae are becoming slightly warped and there are rumors of a wide range of reactions with contact. Needless to say, sea-life is avoiding the goop. What is this strange thing? The Regent has issued a proclamation to the public advising them to stay within their dwellings unless there is an urgent need. Avoid all contact with the Algae and to report anything unusual. A triage center has been set up in the palace to tend to the wounded.

Rumor comes from Rebma that in order to combat the spread of the algae, Rebmans have adopted a system of mop up and toss out, but not as easy as it sounds. The system has managed to contain the offending algae and keep it from spreading too much but hasn't got rid of it. Eventually, more algae is replaced what was there before. It's multiplying. The mops are said to have Little funnels with suction cups tentacles attached to a stick and the stick swirls around the area like a mop. Then somehow it is schlepped into a bucket or box and someone with spiffy magic gets rid of it. LRebman children have been fascinated by the mops. Rumor is that there is a lab set up in shadow where the substance is being stored. Protective gear before touching the algae is crucial. Rumor also has it that anyone wanting to help Mop is welcome to do so. They can use all the help they can get. Even the Regent has been seen with one of the cute octomops.
