Though court movers and shakers have yet to see invites to a banquet with certain Amberite royals featured on the guest menu, that isn't to say that Prince Regent Corwin hasn't come to Rebma since his assuming rulership in Amber. The lords and ladies of the tiered plateau residences have been claiming various sightings of the dark-haired man around his now active townhouse. This corroborates the rumours filtering from the palace about unannounced visits by the prince, one in particular placing him in the company of Her Divine Majesty. A leisurely garden stroll, feeding the anenomes? That is something old friends would do, right? Or maybe just the elderly...

Either way, it sounds like Amber and Rebma are still in bed together, figuratively, in spite of all the fish-shaking. A sort of reminder to the vengeance-minded that the currents are still revolving on this matter. Best to wait on wisdom, rather than take a rash course of action.

Criers from the Palace of Rebma dart through the streets of the capital, declaring a special convening of the Deep Court. The royal household and staff will be present, and their personal favourites by invitation. In the formal courtier tradition, attendance is required of all heads of the nobility, clergy, and orders; and military officers and naval captains; and appointed representatives of the great races; and visiting foreign emissaries; as well as the musicians, entertainers, and artists habitually invited to provide colour and posterity to the events. Attendees wishing to bring a matter before the Throne are asked to notify the herald prior to commencement. Other than that, nothing is said of the reason behind this last minute planning.

Court RP has been scheduled for this Sunday, May 14th - Exact time to be determined once the schedules of interested players are sorted.

Every realm has clueless denizens of whom it is wondered if they live under rocks, but in the great underwater city, some clearly literally do. So it was to the shouting and swishing of multitudes in the streets that they emerged, and feared the riots had already begun. But... no! These were happy grins, that was drunken singing, those were exultant cries of REBMA! And MARTIN! What happened? From whence came this strange reversal, in the space of one night and day?

A.. duel? It was said that Prince Corwin attended the session of Court called by Martin to address the issue of the Princess' decreed removal to Banyan, whereupon the Regent informed the former Amberite King that he could take their agreement and shove it. That the Regent had.. for love of his subjects.. changed his mind. This demonstration of enlightened rule had infuriated the Ruler of Banyan, and his evil black sword crossed with the silver blade of Tir as Martin swore to defend the will of the Rebman People...

But, ah - the bard in that tavern there witnessed the bloody battle that tore up and down the Deep Throne Room, with many a mocking snark passed between combatants. One had best go listen to his faithful retelling of the epic fight that saw Corwin fleeing with one arm nearly hacked off, and Martin standing in victory with Miriam of Tir at his side. No children allowed, though, for this version's got some smut. Princess Fiona was heard to say there was 'penis might in their swords'! And who could deny that?
